  • Expert level knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies
  • Understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies, tools and environment.
  • Understanding of web based and analytical technologies to provide business and client benefits
  • Mobile technologies across multiple different technology platforms (eg iOS, Android)
  • Web design concepts (CSS, HTML, Responsive/Adaptive design, etc)
  • Software architectures (Java, JEE, Servlet, JSP, JSF, etc)
  • Integration architectures (Web services, web apis, WS*, REST, JSON, etc)
  • Experience of large business critical transactional processing systems in Financial Services or similar industries
  • Deep knowledge of E-commerce, consumer behaviour and social media
  • Change management/advocacy techniques and approaches
  • Innovation - must have the ability to employ sound judgment in determining how innovations will be deployed to produce ROI
  • Able to run complex supplier management/sourcing activities
  • Deep technical expertise across Application Architecture
  • Able to deputise for Head of Strategy & Architecture
  • Additional education in marketing as well as information and technology disciplines is desirable as well as an approved Project Management qualification

The Digital Architect is a transformative role and is accountable for ing our client's business and IS strategies to ensure transformative effects from current and emerging digital technologies. The Digital Architect is responsible for the adoption of digital technologies and digital experiences across all business touch points.

Enterprise Architecture aspects of the role include: -

  • achieving business goals by designing, building and maintaining high calibre client focussed solutions according to existing and emerging standards, utilising digital technologies that meet the current and future needs
  • advising on technical solutions, standard integration methodologies and the ment of business and technology
  • preparing and distributing digital vision, goals, standards, structure, behaviour patterns, models, to all affected stakeholders

Digital Specialist aspects of the role include: -

  • identifying and advising on the range of digital technologies most applicable to our client by providing technical and methodological know how, references and material
  • distributing knowledge about latest digital technologies, upgrades and recommendations
  • responding to requests for information or help from our client's staff and coach them by sharing knowledge and experience and supplying references and material for relevant digital technologies
  • writing recommendations, investigation reports, plans and roadmaps addressing strategies and future direction

Design aspects include: -

  • identifying business/technical requirements and assisting with specification to a level appropriate for commissioning development and implementation work from our clients third party providers
  • performing investigation and research for alternative digital solutions and technologies
  • resolving design issues and problems, particularly in relation to client UX
  • Together with CIO and Head of Strategy & Architecture work with executives to develop, rollout and update the digital vision for our client's business units, and identify the opportunities for differentiating and enhancing digital capabilities and solutions.
