Project/Application Manager (Project Manager) Salary: 40,000 - 51,000 Full time/ Permanent Location: Cambridge We are looking to recruit an experienced Project/Application Manager(Project Manager) to join our team, with a focus on delivering releasesfor key business applications and IT Service related projects. OurProject/Application Managers (Project Manager) are responsible forestablishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic andoperational initiatives including launching national and internationalkey services to release exam results for millions of candidates,large-scale operational improvements, major application improvements andinfrastructure upgrades and deployments. It is anticipated that this role will be fully assigned to the ExamProcessing Centre of Excellence for the foreseeable future, thereforedemonstrable experience of managing application releases and projects inan agile context, with teams based onshore and offshore, will be anadvantage. Responsibilities of the Project/Application Manager (Project Manager)role will include: Being the single accountable party for planning, orchestrating, anddelivering a given initiative throughout its lifecycle Ensuring end results are of the highest calibre with a clearlyarticulated and managed scope and quantifiable business benefit Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved withinagreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters Validating financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliationof resources and other related project expenditures Developing communication plans and interfaces to execute onresponsibilities Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in routinely briefing keystakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives Representing the project or application in various project governanceand inter-department forums Developing the required project management artefacts Ensuring assigned applications are properly managed within acontrolled environment The successful candidate will demonstrate: Experience of managing projects The proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and keystakeholders; The ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively. Experience with stakeholder management at all levels with clarity andprecision both written and verbally Focused and versatile team player and be comfortable under pressure The ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete theirobjectives Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Exemplary core project management skills Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project managementmethodologies and tools Cambridge Assessment operates and manages the Universitys three examboards and carries out leading edge research in education.
