Location Overview The Freshfields Global Europe Centre provides both business and legalservices to the firm. Our services are delivered in a way which supportsthe global nature of our firm and our clients, enables our fee earnersto deliver exceptional service to our clients and to do that in a waywhich is efficient and effective. Our Europe Centre is the first site tobe established in the emerging Freshfields Global operating model. Ouraspiration is to establish further sites in the US and Asia-Pacific inthe coming years. Function Overview The IT Department is responsible for providing technology and supportto enable fee earners and business services employees to operateefficiently both internally and with their clients. The IT department iscomprised of two functions, Customer Services and Technology Services.These two functions work closely together with the shared goal ofdelivering strategic business value through the application oftechnology. IT operates as a global team with regional presence in mostof our offices. Our centralised IT infrastructure is maintained andmanaged by Technology Services and Customer Services provides allbusiness facing support and services. Role Summary Working in a DevOps like operating model, Applications Analystsoperate, maintain and constantly improve the firms applications withintheir domain. This role would suit an experienced SharePointAdministrator looking to expand their skillset into Office 365/Azure andtake the next step in their career. Working as part of a team to deliverinnovative solutions, there will be a need to regularly engage withinternal customers and users. There will be exposure to a wide varietyof new technologies so a self-motivated attitude to learning is essential. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Governance and maintenance of the SharePoint online environment; Develop customisations that bridge gaps between business requirementsand out of the box functionality.; Assess and analyse release components; Provide input to scheduling. Ensure release processes and proceduresare maintained; To be fully involved in the introduction of new cloud-basedapplications and technologies; Champion the use of Office 365, supporting users and promoting bestpractice usage; Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for applications support; Manage application enhancements to improve business performance; Ensure that all requests for support are dealt with according to setstandards and procedures; Ensure that incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedures; Ensure that documentation of the supported systems is available andin an appropriate form for those providing support; Create and maintain support documentation; Investigate and coordinate the resolution of potential and actualservice problems. Carry out agreed system software maintenance tasks; Liaise with third-party support services; Maintain own knowledge of specific technical specialisms, embracingthe culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and knowledge sharing; Receive and handle requests for support following agreed procedures; Respond to requests for support by providing information to enableincident resolution and promptly allocate unresolved calls as appropriate; Work on a team on-call rota for business-critical applications and ona rotating shift schedule. Key Requirements Essential Extensive knowledge of MS Office 365 and/or SharePoint; Experience of cloud based applications; Problem solving skills; Up-to-date knowledge of technologies; Able to work on multiple technologies and projects simultaneously. Desirable Exposure to Content Management Systems; Experience of MS Office 365 Integration and Customisations; Exposure to legal industry specific technologies and tools; HTML/CSS/JavaScript; Experience working in a DevOps environment; PowerApps, Flow, Power BI; AzureAD. Experience of giving internal training.
