A large tech solutions company are seeking a Customer Support Technician to join their team in Midsomer Norton, near Bath. Do you have experience or an understanding within electronics, RF electronics, radio, hardware or soldering? If so, then you may be the Support Technician we're looking for. What will you be doing? As a Customer Support Technician, you'll be responsible for responding to and communicating on technical enquiries from clients and customers via the online helpdesk portal. You'll have the ability to maintain product documentation as well as provide technical bulletins for customers. In addition to this, you'll respond to technical enquiries both online and over the phone, and ensure that product performance feedback is communicated to the development team What skills/experience should you have? Basic understanding of electronics and its applications Confident and polite phone manner Good written English (particularly spelling and grammar) Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers (and non-native English speaking customers) Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel Although not an essential requirement of the role, if you have an understanding of RF electronics, marine electronics or computer networks, then this may benefit your application.
