An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Technician to joinan expanding team of well-established IT Professionals. This role isbased in Wigan, however on occasion, you may be required to carry outcustomer site visits, therefore your own vehicle and driving licence arerequired. Their company has been providing enterprise IT managedservices and solutions across the UK & Europe for over 25 years.They specialise in supporting the IT requirements of modern businessesallowing their clients to concentrate on what they do best, runningtheir business. Working in partnership with their customers they ensurethey are maximising efficiencies with their current available resourcesand can move forward with new technologies and innovations as theirbusiness growth demands. As an IT Support Technician, your duties willbe to: - Provide Support to a growing customer base on a 24*7*365 rotabasis - Working to customer focused Service Level Agreements - FollowingITIL based policies and procedures - Promote proactive supportthroughout all or our customers with the overall aim being to preventreoccurring issues. - Provide Support on PC, LAN, and other connectivityissues for the company and its customers - Ensure all documentation iscomplete and kept up to date - Updating and working with a TechnicalKnowledge Base An ideal IT Support Technician will hold the followingskills and experiences: - Previous experience working with or as part ofa ServiceDesk environment via telephone / remote or on-site - A workingknowledge of Active Directory - Hardware - Servers / PCs / Printers /LAN hardware - Software - Server & Desktop operating systems /E-mail / Desktop applications - Experience of firewalls both hardwareand software - Wide Area Network and Local Area Network experience -Monitoring & Management of contracted equipment - provided by Dice ACTIVE DIRECTORY, FIREWALL, ITIL, LAN
