My client a leading financial solutions provider are seeking to recruita 3rd line Microsoft Systems/Server Engineer to join their systemssupport team and you will bring the below skill set: Your Responsibilities Work as part of the IT Infrastructure team to provide operationalsupport and project delivery. Working within an existing team, you will install, configure test andmaintain operating systems, software and software management tools andprovide 2nd and 3rd line support over the phone and via service requests. The role is extremely diverse and will working across a number ofdifferent departments liaising with stakeholders and end users on a dayto day basis. Managing multi server environments with an excellent knowledge ofMicrosoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, SCCM orMDT, SANs, Backup and Restoration using Veritas Backup Exec and VMWare ESXi Supporting and deploying IT infrastructure within AWS. Configure and maintain software, hardware and networks. Working within ISO 27001 security standard and data privacy requirements. Analysing and resolving faults in an efficient and expeditious mannerto minimize client downtime Preventative maintenance and service recovery. Managing company's emails, server, anti-spam and virus protection solutions. Creating and maintaining technical documentation. Assist level 1 support staff in technical troubleshooting and rootcause analysis. Firm understanding and experience in the design, implementation,management and support of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies ina client/server environment and experience with Windows Server2012/2008/2016 - All Aspects, IIS, DNS, DHCP etc. Experience of client imaging, software packaging and deployment technologies Experience in the configuration, management and support of an Office2013/365 environment including Exchange, SharePoint and Skype Experience in the design, implementation, management and support ofvirtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V) Strong technical skills across AWS, both support and implementation. Experience of License management. Experience working on Windows 7 and 10 Experience in management and support of client based enterprisesecurity products including Antivirus (Symantec), DLP (TritonAP/Websense), email filter (Forcepoint/Websense) and encryption Ability to edit and write scripts using VBScript and Powershell. Understanding of Data protection laws and legal ramifications of ITdecisions within a global organization ABOUT YOU Technical/Professional Qualifications Minimum 3 years in a level 2 or 3 systems engineering role. Minimum 18 months supporting and managing AWS environments. Ability to work a varying shift pattern between 7:00am and 7:00pm. A level of weekend working required. Exposure to ISO27001. YOUR EXPERIENCE Essential Excellent oral and written communication skills. Technical understanding of core networking and infrastructure services. Good time management and prioritisation skills Proven practical problem solving and analysis experience. Identifies what needs to be done and can take independent action whenthe situation requires it. Incident management: records incidents in Service Cloud, followescalation protocol and work on escalated tickets.
