This role will plan, coordinate, document, and communicate all major infrastructure events. Be a mentor for administrators and engineers around best practices for system management, availability, performance, scalability, security, and backup/recovery. Lead the Dev Ops transformation effort through implementation of configuration management and build automation tools (Puppet) to streamline deployments and updates to production systems. Manage all server infrastructures across production, pre-production, and back office environments running a numerous operating systems platforms including Windows and Linux Team supports configuration and management of mission critical business applications including IIS, .Net, SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, etc. Manage third party cloud providers and hosting solutions (Microsoft Azure, Office 365, ITSM, AWS, etc.) Ensure all operational requests are completed within SLA's utilizing ITSM platforms Provide hands on technical leadership to all DevOps, System Engineering, and Database team members Manage team scheduling, workload, and coverage for an on-call 24x7 e-commerce operation Document and implement best practices for system design, patch management, administration, upgrades, and system security. Create a series of predictive KPI's and metrics to determine system capacity Review current systems architecture and implement recommendations to increase stability, reliability, and availability while reducing overall costs* Drive the incident & problem management processes for the systems team, including support of all Severity 1 or 2 related issues. Be the one to solve the "Root Cause".
