Retail Sales Merchandiser
One of the UK’s largest paint manufacturers, our client is a well-established household name. They currently have a Retail Sales Merchandiser vacancy to service their major multiple DIY customers covering Essex and East Anglia.
What you can expect from this role
As a Retail Sales Merchandiser you will lead in developing our client’s brand profile within major DIY multiples and larger Trade outlets. Working collaboratively with the merchandising team, you will be tasked with developing contacts from store management level, through to store team level ensuring our paint brands are merchandised and promoted effectively within the stores our client operates.
Key duties include:
- Merchandising and generating sales activity
- Providing excellent customer service
- Product data checks
- Ensuring the successful implementation of all promotions and relevant point of sale (POS)
- Training activity and range reviews as required
Who they are looking for
The role of Retail Sales Merchandiser comprises challenge and reward in equal measure, and as such requires an individual who has an outgoing personality and the ability to communicate effectively. They are seeking self-motivation with an ability to work on own initiative. The role demands a reasonable degree of physical activity, particularly during product range changes, and occasional overnight stays with some weekend working.
Previous sales and/or merchandising experience would be helpful, although full training will be provided to suitable candidates who possess the aptitudes and abilities we are looking for. A current driving licence and the ability to drive is essential, as you will be provided with a company vehicle to carry out your duties.
