The organisation is looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant based at head office in Telford who will report in to the Financial Controller. The role will have responsibility for many aspects of the end to end financial process.
This includes the preparation of detailed, accurate and technically correct monthly management accounts, liaising closely with others throughout the accounting close process.
You will be heavily involved in the organisations financial planning process. Working closely with your team and business stakeholders in setting budgets and business plans. You will identify and track risks & opportunities within delivery plans. As one of the financial experts in your area, you will be required to support data modelling activities and input into commercial matters as required. You will identify, analyse and present management information with recommendations to others, enabling them to make better decisions. You will utilise technology to ensure the continued efficiency and accuracy of financial processes within your business area and the wider organisation where appropriate
The successful candidate will be a qualified or part qualified Accountant within a recognised body, and if part qualified, preferably working towards a full qualification.
The candidate will be able to show evidence of driving finance or business process improvement through the use of available systems and/or office applications.
The candidate will also have had significant experience within an organisations planning process in the coordination and constructing budgets, forecasts and longer term plans. Experience of using a financial planning toolset (e.g. Excel, Cognos, SAP BPC, Business Objects) within this process is essential.
The candidate will be experienced in general ledger, period end close process and double entry bookkeeping.
