Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)
Working closely with a UK known FMCG supplier and as a result of continuous growth we are now looking to appoint a;
Experienced Maintenance Engineer
Working on a two-week shift patter consisting of; 5am to 2.00pm week 1 and 12pm - midnight week 2.
Working with a small team of engineers to assist in the efficient and smooth running of the business. The role will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, and you will provide a hands-on engineering service to the production operation by ensuring that all plant and equipment is maintained in accordance with the PPM plan to ensure that planned production is achieved with minimal down time.
We are looking for a motivated and creative individual with a positive attitude who can work under pressure when things are not quite going to plan. There will be an expectation that you will adhere to the company's health and safety procedures and that all work undertaken is done so in a safe manner and to the highest standard.
You should be experienced in a similar role and be able to carry out preventative plant maintenance and installation of machinery to a high standard. An understanding of the manufacturing process is essential to enable the development of continuous performance improvement plans covering efficiency and quality and reduction in all wastes. You should have the ability to take the lead role in a breakdown situation. Experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and motor drives would be beneficial, however training will be given where necessary.
· Experience within an FMCG Environment desirable, ideally within the processing industry
· Computer literate, spread sheets
· City & Guilds Qualification in Engineering
· Problem solving.
· Knowledge of the food processing industry
