Our client based in Shepton Mallet are looking for an Audit/Corporate Accounts Senior to join their team.

Duties include:

*Working as an Audit senior for company & charity clients. You should be able to work on all on aspects of the audit process, from planning through to file completion ready for manager/partner sign off. Giving consideration to audit risk areas and accounting technical matters throughout the audit. Working with and assisting junior team members when on audit and the ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines. Must be able to stay away from home for up to a week at a time while on audit (annual commitment to such work away- approximately 4 weeks per annum)
*Preparation of company accounts from a range of different sources - manual & computerised.
*Calculation of adjusted profits and capital allowances claims for companies.
*Supporting corporate managers in ad hoc day to day tasks, including workflow and job management, as required to ensure the efficiency of the team.
*Management Accounts preparation and interpretation.
*Liaison with clients and report writing/letter writing as necessary.
*Use of in house accounts preparation software and use of industry standard and bespoke bookkeeping and payroll packages, products including SAGE, Xero and Quickbooks.
*Use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and scheduling

Required Skills/Experience:

*Excellent Customer Service Skills

*Highly organized
*Team Working
*Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Accounting applications
*Part / Qualified ACCA/ACA or by experience.
*Demonstrate audit and accounts skills gained through a professional services firm at a sufficiently senior level.
*Demonstrate the ability to organise self and others, good time management skills to enable you to manage several different assignments at one time.
*Solid understanding of current UK GAAP.
*Strong communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
*Charity accounts experience desirable but not essential.


Professional Training:

The role requires continuing study to improve and maintain professional education at the same time as the practical work requirement. For part qualified candidates, all initial attempts at professional papers will be fully funded and paid study leave provided.

Ongoing CPD is funded by the practice.


Benefits:

Salary Dependent on qualifications and experience, Holiday 28 days including Bank Holidays, Pension and PHI after successful completion of probationary period
