An excellent opportunity for a Communications Manager to join a leading international Services organisation based in Surrey

My client is a leading international Services organisation


Practical day-to-day comms:
Newshound - bring the company story to life through our comms, on both our intranet and websiteCopywriting, editing and proofing of communication content.
Support two major international events- deliver all comms (including customers, employees, external guests and press) and provide general events support as a project team member as and when required in the lead up to and at the event. This will include:
Social media - engage attendees and other people 'watching'Internal comms - create news stories to support events and help engage event communitiesApp content - develop layouts and create content for attendeesVideo - develop brief for filming of the event and oversee event videos with appropriate agency.
Support key stakeholders with their ongoing communications including developing comms plans, regular attendance at meetings and email newsletters.Monitor our social media channels and post regularly in line with social media strategy.Develop new content and provide day-to-day updates and maintenance to our ********** website.Be an advocate for our intranet, including day-to-day upkeep, creating and publishing news stories, helping and advising users and measuring success.Oversee all communications for the startup accelerator, including creating and managing an email newsletter for employees, updating the Drive website and working with the PR Agency on the Drive PR and social strategy.Develop plan and content for the Annual Report 2018 with our majority shareholders


The successefull candidate should have the following skillset;

Substantial 'In company' experience in Internal Communications, in demanding environments where high standards prevail.

A track record of success in using technology to improve communication and engagement.

Experience of organisations with a high service ethic, close to the customer, in a multi site environment.

Experience of working in a matrix organisation

Experience of using a range of multi-media communication tools and packages, but particularly, great Intranet and content management knowledge. A strong understanding of how to optimise social media. Not a 'techie' but someone who loves working 'on line'.

Excellent written skills, able to understand and simplify complex ideas quickly.

Strong communication practitioner with experience using a variety of communication channels.

Proven track record of working directly with senior stakeholders with the confidence to influence

Highly customer focussed - enjoys making a difference by helping others achieve their objectives.

Job Offer

My client is offering the successful candidate a salary of between £45000 and £5000 on a 14 month FTC- there will be a bonus upon completion of the contract
