Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting in responses to regulatory inquires, providing the data extracts and associated explanation based on Subject Matter Expert (SME) understanding of the order flow and reporting logic
* Having ownership of regulatory/compliance issues and/or investigations
* Incident management - communicating and co-ordinating
* Problem management - following up incident action
* Communicating for regulatory investigations (business and technical)
* Compiling trade data and evidence for compliance/audit investigations
* Investigating into order behaviour with queries directly from the business and external regulators
* Liaising with stakeholders in Front, Middle and Back office to document business and operational processes
* Defining user acceptance test criteria and providing support to testers

Skills & Qualifications:

* Ability to multi task, prioritise work and adapt during potentially pressured situations
* Ability to collaborate with business users, developers and other technology colleagues outside of your direct team
* Previous exposure to non-financial regulatory reporting within the context of Equities trading (i.e. OATS, EBS, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) trade and transaction reporting, etc.)
* Ability to articulate a technical issue to business users
* Application of technical or business processes in order to construct a problem solution
* Ability to collate multiple sources of information to support regulatory investigations and root cause analysis (e.g. log files, SQL queries, error messages)
* Ability to read and write scripts in common languages (Shell/Perl/Python)
* Specific technical capabilities around UNIX, Linux, Wintel or databases
* Demonstrable understanding of technology and be competent in interacting with it via command line and Graphical User Interface (GUI) interfaces
* Finance industry experience and/or knowledge of working within complex systems in large organisations
* A desire to understand the impact of regulatory and compliance demands on the banking industry, specifically in the context of Equities trading
* Support experience on trading applications/client connectivity/market connectivity, ideally in a regulatory/compliance capacity
* Highly analytical and detail orientated when assessing requirements with the ability to get to the root of what is required using not just stakeholder elicitation but also data analysis
* Driven and self-motivated personality and the need to be able to quickly understand how multiple systems operate and couple this to complex business requirements to produce solutions

A strong professional presence, and the ability to liaise effectively with all key stakeholders, understanding their perspective and build relationships quickly
