Senior Developer (Java / SQL / RPG) - West Sussex - £competitive salary & benefits

The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a successful software house to find a talented Senior Developer.

The company has a fantastic working environment and a large, talented design, development and research team; this is a highly desirable role with a company that has an enviable reputation.

The position will involve the development of specific IBM i products. You will research, design, code and test in accordance with the company's standards. It requires an individual with the ability to work alongside less experienced developers and provide mentoring and guidance to them.

The following areas are the required skills and responsibilities for the successful candidate:

* Strong commercial experience developing with Java and RPG
* Solid commercial experience with SQL
* UI Development experience

Any experience with the development of Eclipse IDE and application development for the IBM i platform would strongly support your application but are by no means a prerequisite.

The role will also liaise closely with senior members of the management team and the successful individual must be able to explain complex technical developments in straightforward language. There are multiple on-going and new projects so the ability to work to deadlines, communicate problems and progress and balance business priorities is essential.

This is a permanent position offering a competitive basic salary and an outstanding benefits package.

If you believe that you have the skills and experience necessary to succeed in a role of this nature, please submit a current WORD copy of your CV quoting reference ASH16325HWN in the SUBJECT LINE of your email.

The Ashdown Group Ltd acts as an employment agency in respect of permanent vacancies and as an employment business in respect of temporary vacancies.
