Job Purpose As part of our technology journey we are looking to invest in an experience project manager to support our digital campus in ensuring buildings are fit for purpose in terms of technology including networks, AV access and broader technology solutions. Working alongside our estates team you will be working on a large programme of work to help redevelop our campus and buildings that will ensure we are providing a digital and technology enabled campus for our student and staff community Job Responsibilities As a customer focused IT Project Manager you will work closely with our Estates and Space team to understand technology requirements for new builds and redevelopment of our existing campus. You will take ownership of providing solutions and working closely with IT and the wider University to ensure our technology is both innovative and fit for purpose. In this pivotal role, you will act as a subject matter expert for IT moves and changes working with the University to understand existing and future requirements. You will need to be able to think on your feet with the ability to advise quickly especially during summer and peak periods where redevelopment of the campus can create continually changing requirements Core Skills - A solid background within Project Management ideally with experience within Estates, Buildings, Moves and Change from an IT perspective - Experience of working with complex stakeholders to understand technology requirements with the ability to be hands on to help resolve challenges and problems quickly - Strong technology background ideally within Cabling networks, AV, Identity and Access Management (from a buildings perspective). - Proven experience of working in a project environment ideally - Proven experience in building strong relationships across a broad internal stakeholder community and partner organisations to enable the successful delivery of high quality services.
