Hays Education are delighted to be working on behalf of an Ofsted 'Outstanding' Catholic secondary school in South Birmingham to recruit for a qualified Science Teacher for a long term post to start in January 2018. This is a full time teaching role, 5 days per week up to KS5 and may extend until the end of the academic year.
This schools mission statement is for all students to achieve and flourish. By offering a broad and balanced curriculum students are encouraged to follow a pathway of subjects that best meets their individual needs. Although a large school, each student is divided into a community house to enable healthy competition and encourage teamwork.
In your new secondary teaching job you will be required to plan interesting and challenging Science lessons that will engage pupils; you will need to have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm. You will need to be experienced teaching up to KS5 and be familiar with the current curriculum. Experience teaching within a Catholic secondary school will be an advantage. The role is offered 5 days per week from January 2018 for 1 term in the first instance with every possibility of continuing to the end of the academic year.
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold QTS. You will be an experienced Science Teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer.
