Flagship Assistant Store Manager - Trafford Center
The Assistant Manager will be expected to work in partnership with the Store Manager, Area Manager and the Head Office team. The Assistant Manager will play an important part in the effective running of the store. And will be acting Store Manager in his/her absence.
The main areas of work will be to support the Store Manager in reaching sales targets and KPI’s whilst managing customer service, sales, stock & merchandising, health & safety and security in store. The Assistant Manager will be involved in staff management, including HR related matters such absence/sickness, interviewing/recruiting and delivering trainings/coaching. The Assistant Manager also assists the Store Manager in stock control and merchandising.Main tasks/responsibilitiesBrand Representation·Ensure that you maintain a professional behavior at all times when on the premises (whether you are on shift or not) i.e. remaining calm at all times when dealing with customers and/or colleagues·Promote the brand by wearing KIKO products as part of your uniform in line with image and brand guidelines·Adhering to brand values and traits at all times·Leading by example in store at all times with regards to sales, service and adhering to company polices and proceduresStaff Management ·Managing all staff and supporting the Manager to make sure the workloads are appropriate and the quality of work is acceptable·Assist the Manager in motivating and engaging the team to perform in order to deliver the required KPI’s and targets for the store·Assist the Manager in coaching the team and delivering trainings on sales techniques and KIKO products·Assist in managing the teams sickness/absence, lateness and performance by carrying out the relevant discussions and forms; always adhering to the policies and procedures set in place·Assist the Manager and take over in his/her absence the organization of the rotas to ensure the shop is appropriately staffed at all times·Ensure good communication and team work with all staff·Provide honest and constructive feedback to staff members after visits, mystery shops and observations·To support the store manager with recruitment and hiring and take responsibility for this in his/her absence·To deliver Welcome Training and Inductions to new starters in the absence of the Store Manager·To conduct monthly meetings when possible with the team and bi-weekly meetings if needed in the absence of a store manager ·Induction follow ups to be carried out on new starting sales assistants and make up specialists -in the absence of the Manager and when instructed by senior management·Staff appraisals need to be carried twice a year in the absence of the Manager and when instructed by senior management·Bi-monthly reviews to be carried out with all staff after the induction follow ups have been completed in the absence of the Manager and when instructed by senior management·Assist the Manager to monitor grooming standards in line with company expectations (For example; black outfits and make up standards)
Store Management·To respect and follow the company policies and procedures at all times·To ensure the effective running of the store in the absence of the Manager·Ensuring that the store is opened and closed in line with the specified trading hours ·Ensure that the staff key holder policy is being adhered to at all times·To implement store layout changes/merchandise changes effectively and in line with company expectations and standards·Ensure the shop is always presented and merchandised in line with the company standards and expectations·Ensuring the team are managed to deliver good housekeeping at all times with regards to the shop floor, drawers/fixtures and stockroom·To assist the Manager in one off events such as stock takes and promotional activities·Being responsible for the correct use of the LS back office and till system by yourself and all members of staff·To assist the Manager and take responsibility in his/her absence the correct management in stock control and testersCustomer Service & Sales Management ·To set up and plan the day ahead so the team are aware of all targets and KPI’s ensuring they know how to achieve them·To support the Manager in continuously monitoring the performance of the store on a daily basis and aim to improve the results by managing and motivating the team·Ensure that you and your team apply the CARE formula at all times and deliver sales in line with the Percassi Sales Ceremony·Ensure that you and your team offer promotions, loyalty programmers, focus products, P+ and skin care to all customers ·Ensure that you and your team provide all customers with the ‘KIKO Milano experience’·Assist the Manager in driving sales and KPI’s in order to achieve and exceed sales targets for the store and take responsibility for this in his/her absence·To handle customer/staff complaints in a calm and professional manner, following the company policies and proceduresAdmin Duties·Responsible for completing and processing the various company forms in line with the company policies and procedures ·To keep all personal documentation private and confidential at all times·Assist the Manager in receiving, checking and merchandising deliveries in line with company policies and procedures·To assist the Manager/Assistant Manager to carry out daily banking as per company guidelines to ensure the time deadlines are met·To assist the Manager/Assistant Manager with daily/weekly paperwork·Ensure the staff fill out attendance sheets daily and send these to HR/Payroll when required·To fill in timesheets/payroll on a weekly basis in the absence of the store manager·To check emails and respond within the day and to implement any required changes in store when sent communication from the Area Manager or Head Office team ·Always keeping the back of house areas clean, tidy and to standard
