Infrastructure Design Engineer ? Microsoft Azure ? Bradford, Leeds (West Yorkshire)
Infrastructure Designer Engineer with considerable experience across the entire Microsoft stack as well as cloud services via Azure sought by market leader at their offices in Bradford, easily commutable from Leeds (West Yorkshire)
Essential technical experience:
-Experience of supporting online, digital platforms including performing deployments of web applications and components.
-Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure technology
-Experience of proposing and defining all types of cloud based solutions mainly SaaS and PaaS.
-Experience of IIS Web Server and Application configuration and best practices.
-Experience of Web Technologies (HMTL5, XML, REST).
-Experience of contributing to technical designs and implementing robust, highly available and scalable infrastructure, solutions and services.
-Experience of contributing to technical designs and implementing solutions on or using the following technologies:
-Windows Server 2016/2012/2008, SQL Server 2016/2014/2012, IIS 7.5/8
-Understanding of the following protocols: DHCP, DNS, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, SSL, TLS, Telnet.
-ITIL Background, firm understanding of ITIL practices such as incident, service, change, problem and release management.
Experience of designing and implementing solutions on or using some of the following technology platforms:
-RedHat Enterprise Linux
-Amazon Web Services
-Provide input into designs and implementation plans using industry best practices and the latest technologies.
-Work with senior technical SME specialists to implement those solutions alongside the existing critical services running the Provident core business.
-Work closely with our IT operation teams to provide 3rd line service continuity, improvement and transition tasks and to deliver assistance in the introduction of new solutions and platforms as a production service.
-Demonstration of an appropriate level of independence in dealing effectively with key stakeholders and internal customers.
-Quality/credibility of solutions; able to meet customer needs optimally and in-line with agreed expectations.
-Delivery in line with work area/team SLAs and other team-based performance objectives/goals.
-Demonstrated drive for/commitment to Continuous Improvement
-Recognition of patterns of colleague performance and the highlighting of more systematic issues/opportunities
-Address issues that have been escalated up from IT Platform Design & Operational colleagues
