Product Manager

Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8
Salary: £65k - £75k, negotiable
Contract: Permanent, Full time

Hours: Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm

Product Manager - Responsibilities:

You will extend our product offering by providing operational tools that support the delivery of auditable, high quality Care Services. You will be responsible for owning the product roadmap that delivers these tools and you will:

  • Research and identify industry best practice and utilise analytical tools from our digital platforms to inform our product goals
  • Use customer insights to drive the software product vision and direction
  • Provide leadership in identifying and defining ongoing product features that align with business strategy
  • Be the owner and evangelist for the products, acting as a facilitator across all stakeholder groups
  • Work with the stakeholder groups on roll-out, training of staff, and educating stakeholders on the use of the products being developed
  • Translate and find common ground by shaping, communicating and ensuring vision and goals for the products
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders, identifying and managing requirements and eliciting buy-in for all product features to be developed
  • Ensure joint decisions are made by bringing stakeholders together, finding ways to solve blockages and by escalating where necessary
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap and develop and prioritise a product backlog
  • Work as a key member with development teams throughout the development effort
  • Facilitate discussions, user story development and refinement; testing and validation; contribute to roadblock resolution and decision making
  • Actively engage in Agile process, including daily scrum sessions, demos, and testing activities, as well as training and change management activities, as required
  • Assist the team in sizing and breaking down Epic into manageable sizes to accommodate the release cadence. Write or assist in the writing of Epics and User stories, as needed
  • Manage changes to features and communication to ensure there is clear indication of what is required for each release
  • Set and report on measurable goals
  • Provide regular updates; manage executive stakeholder communication and reporting
  • Encourage and help to achieve transparency by fostering a feedback culture.

Product Manager - What we?re looking for:

  • You will have 7-10 years industry experience working with 5 as a Product Owner or Product Manager
  • Strong understanding of the Care Sector and how technology can be applied to improve the approach to delivering care
  • Knowledge of both excellent care practices and the auditing requirements of being a care provider
  • Highly communicative and able to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders
  • Experience of engaging with users and turning user insight into product improvements
  • Knowledge of financial terms and principles and able to create a business case for product feature delivery
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to balance intuition with data in making decisions
  • Ability to research, comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex information accurately
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional track record in planning, leading and delivering great products
  • Experience of product management with a passion for evolving and shaping great digital products
  • Experience of creating, maintaining and prioritising product backlogs to direct the work of a delivery team
  • Experience with best-practice agile product management techniques
  • Deep understanding of contemporary best practice on the web, mobile and apps
  • Experience working as a part of a team, balancing needs across stakeholders and in a complex business environment
  • Enthusiasm for sharing learning, and mentoring others and helping them to learn
  • Familiarity with setting, monitoring and reporting measurable product performance targets
  • Positive, enthusiastic and always looking to support the team to deliver a great product
  • Transparent and able to develop trust through consistent clear disclosure of information
  • Actively looking for continual improvement in own and teams skills and processes
  • Ability to resolve conflict through with discussion and direction to help identify effective alternatives and agree appropriate resolutions.
