Provision of high quality Medical Information services to patients, healthcare professionals, the pharmacy distribution trade and other customer groups about client pharmaceutical products, devices and related disease areas.

Key Responsibilities
? To provide Medical Information support for all client products in the UK and other markets as agreed from time to time.
? Identification, handling and reporting of all adverse events and product technical complaints in accordance with Client and Ashfield Group SOPs as appropriate.
? Recording of all enquiries and responses in the Ashfield systems and/or the Client systems in accordance with SOPs, work instruction and regulatory guidelines.
? Assist the Medical Information Manager and other team members in the generation of answers to client questions as and when required.
? Assist in the maintenance and development of Medical Information solutions and library resources using specialist databases.
? Keep abreast of allocated client therapeutic areas to assist in information delivery.
? Required to participate in an out of hour?s service to ensure emergency cover to deal with medical enquiries outside of office hours inclusive of weekends and bank holidays.
? Research and prepare responses for medical information enquiries received via phone, email, web or mail.
? Processing of product technical complaint reports, samples, and preparation of investigation reports.

Essential Skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills including telephone manner
? Excellent organisational and time management skills.
? Excellent team player and the ability to work alone as and when required.
? Enjoy working proactively with the ability to work towards deadlines
? Good interpersonal skills including customer service skills.
? Attention to detail and the ability to follow process diligently.
? Life Science Degree, Batchelor?s essential, Masters preferred.
? Knowledge of certain disease areas in particular diabetes and cardiovascular disease would be helpful but are not essential
? Experience in Medical Information is desirable but not essential.
? Experience of working in a Call Centre or Customer service environment would be helpful but is not essential.
