R Developer - London Our client is widely regarded as the leading outsourced research and consulting provider to financial institutions and corporations worldwide with employees situated all over the globe. Key Responsibilities * Demonstrated experience using R, to analyze, transform and visualize enterprise risk data * Ability to code models such as linear regression, logistic, VaR, Markov models etc., specially experience in coding of econometric model * Expertise in implementing either PPNR, credit risk PD/LGD, treasury or market risk and market value shocks models in R programming language using R Studio or other IDE * Good understanding of market risk and credit risk factors and their use in risk model * Knowledge of data/analytical packages in R, aptitude and willingness to learn new tools quickly * Experience in consuming APIs within R, building interactive web applications in R * Ability to code production ready R scripts * Build prototype of application & solution as needed * Involve in both development & maintenance of the systems * Participate in design review and peer code review * Work collaboratively in a global setting, should be eager to learn new technologies * Responsible for extending and maintaining existing codebase with focus on quality, re-usability, maintainability and consistency * Independently troubleshoot difficult and complex issues on production and other environments Key Experience: * Degree with a statistical element, preferably that used the R language significantly * Knowledge and years of experiences in basic and advanced statistical modelling * 5+ year's professional experience in enterprise software design and development in an N-tier architecture environment and 3+ years of experience implementing and programming using R, preferably statistical models and preferably in an enterprise environment * Must have extensive experience with object oriented design principles. Ability to articulate the pros and cons of design/implementation options * Good understanding of all knowledge areas in software development including requirement gathering, designing, development, testing, maintenance, quality control etc. * Ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines in a changing environment * Should take the complete responsibility of the system & support end to end * Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
