Accounts Payable Administrator - Portsmouth

Accounts Payable Administrator required by a leading FTSE 100 support services organisation in Portsmouth. Your primary role will be around query resolution and troubleshooting a variety of issues on the ledger.

This is a fantastic role for someone looking to begin their career in finance or to build on existing experience to progress within a large organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigating and helping resolve invoice queries
  • Dealing with internal and external customers to gain necessary information in a professional manner
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Beginning payment runs
  • Occasional processing of invoices - this will develop over time and won't be an initial key responsibility


  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good organisation skills
  • Multi-tasker
  • Accounts payable/purchase ledger experience (desirable)
  • Excel knowledge (desirable)

Salary and benefits:

  • £22,309 basic starting salary
  • Option to study AAT post probation period. Costs would be covered and time off given for study and exam days
