SYSTEMS ENGINEER / Automation Engineer
My client is an established international company who have just opened a European design and project consultancy in Northampton. The company works closely with a number of worldwide brands providing both systems upgrade support and also providing turnkey solutions for these manufacturing partners
They are now looking for a number of talented engineering professionals to join the existing team as the business expands its operations in Europe.
This is a post for a Systems Engineer to join the company to create PLC based automation solutions for the FMCG sector.
This is an exciting role which will involve a high degree of travel and customer facing opportunities. The role will involve discussions with the customer, projects teams design engineers and other professionals to either integrate new technology into existing automated manufacturing plants or build systems from scratch, whilst also developing the company\'s existing solutions. You will be in contact with many "blue chip" companies within the manufacturing sector dealing with many household names within the consumer products and the beverage industry.
The companies UK office takes into its scope most of Europe and some other territories so flexibility is the key to this role. The successful candidate may have to travel extensively so the company have offered the flexibility of working from home if required.
To be consider you must demonstrate:
A recognized qualification in a technical discipline, ideally electrical engineering at HNC level or above
10 years + experience in systems automation, HMI and Scada Systems ideally PLC programming in ROCKWELL RSLogix or Siemens but other PLC programming experience will be considered.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret drawings, systems layouts and instructions generated by internal and external sources. P & ID\'s experience is a distinct advantage
Knowledge MS office suite for reporting with excellent verbal / written communications skills.
Confident manner and the ability to ask questions and prioritise your own workload
Happy and free to travel both domestically and internationally for up to 50% of your time
Exposure to industrial production, manufacturing or automation is highly desirable.
