A Finance Assistant position has arisen on a permanent basis within a not-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh. The Role This is a permanent position with an emphasis on development and progression which is proven by the fact that this role has arisen due to an internal promotion. You will be involved in a variety of duties across the entire finance function and as such, there may be the need to take on some ad hoc tasks depending on the needs of the business. Ideally you will have experience of a similar role which will allow you to hit the ground running. You will be involved in the following duties: Reviewing ledgers on a monthly basis to ensure coding is correct Uploading financial data and project ledgers to the finance system Offering ideas to the Finance Managers and Finance Officers on process improvements Generating inter-company reports Generating payroll reports Reviewing transactions to ensure they are coded correctly Ensuring compliance with processes, procedures and financial controls Ad hoc duties On Offer The position of Finance Assistant is offering a competitive salary of £18,000 - £21,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package. Their offices are based in the centre of Edinburgh and are easily assessable via public transport and also has parking on site. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: A minimum of 12 months experience of working in a high volume, complex finance role Proven experience in a fast paced accounts environment that is from either a commercial business or a not for profit organisation.
