My client a reputable and established chartered institute based in Central London is currently searching for a Web Developer.

The post-holder will maintain and develop the institutes drupal websites. The post-holder will ensure the integrity of all online member services which rely on integration of Drupal 7 Content Management System (CMS) and other third party systems. As a result of the work done by the post-holder the institute will provide a stable and continuously improving range of digital services to its users.

Main Duties

Maintain the integrity and availability of the Drupal websites.

Maintain the integrity and availability of all online member services, including: Exam booking, CPD record add/edit, CPD record listing, Newsletter/MIG/PAC preference, Exam history, Update address and contact preference, Receipts, Subscription payments, Letters e.g. Subscription renewal letters, written and practical exam results letters, exam entry permit

Ensure all members and other users can complete online payments of invoices, subscriptions, bookings, including the e-shop checkout for merchandise.

Develop new features on the Drupal websites.

Maintain and develop web services (including SOAP web services for integration with our CRM system) and integrations with other third party systems such as Sagepay, QAS postcode looked up, Single Sign On.

Act as the first port of call for the digital team when functional issues arise relating to any aspect of Drupal?s configuration or performance.

Liaise with and advise support third parties as and when required fro BAU, project work and incident management.

Support disaster recovery including working with third parties to restore any sites that go down.

Check website logs routinely e.g. online payment problems, QAS postcode software has stopped working, Mollom has gone down.

Knowledge and Experience Required

Good knowledge and experience of:

Drupal 7 APIs

Drupal architecture

Best practice for online security.

PHP, SOAP-based web services integration

LAMP/Drupal stack

Performance tuning

Ecommerce, specifically Sagepay or equivalent online payment provider

Working knowledge and experience of:

Version control

SOLR search or equivalent faceted search functionality

SOLR search engine, Varnish and synchronized and clustered file systems

Desirable knowledge and experience of:

CSS and SASS

UX design principles

Adapting Agile to non-Agile environments
