PMLD Teacher January start 'Outstanding' Ofsted (2016) 135-165 daily rate Excellent on-site facilities Greenwich - excellent transport links I am currently working with an 'Outstanding' SEN school that caters for primary and secondary aged students with PMLD based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich who are looking for a PMLD Teacher to start in January on a full time basis. PMLD Teachers will need to be able to teach across the curriculum and differentiate lessons according to their needs. As a PMLD teacher you will complete 1:1 support for students including assisting in personal care tasks (feeding, changing, toileting etc.). This PMLD Teacher role would suit both experienced fully qualified teachers (with QTS) from SEN schools or mainstream primary schools - experience supporting learners with PMLD would be advantageous though not a necessity. The school has an amazing training scheme and induction programme and as a result, encourages applications from NQTs. The ideal PMLD teacher will have the following: Has had classroom based teaching experience either in mainstream or SEN has QTS (essential) Has experience teaching PMLD students Strong subject knowledge of the national curriculum Experience using PECs and Makaton (preferable but not essential) This school supports children aged 11-19 with severe and complex needs and there is a residential unit attached to the school for pupils admitted with complex care needs benefiting from extended educational provision. They aim to provide support for the whole family and constantly mentor and upskill staff to deal with a variety of situations as well as how to accommodate all student's needs. With excellent facilities on site as well as on-site therapists, the school is able to adapt and accommodate a range of different SEN. To be considered for the role please apply with an up to date CV today!
