Data Analyst (SQL Data Analysis BI Business Intelligence MI Market Information Reporting PowerBI OmniScope Qlikview Finance Banking) required by my banking client in London.

You MUST have the following:

  • Experience in Banking
  • Excellent experience as a Data Analyst (Management Information MI Business Intelligence BI)
  • Proficient ability in SQL scripting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent Excel

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

  • Data analysis reporting for marketing, operations or finance departments
  • VBA
  • Visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Omniscope, Tableau or Qlikview
  • GDPR
  • Kanban

Role: Data Analyst required by our banking client in London. You will be joining a team of five data analysts, supported by a further five doing back end BI development of the data warehouse. You will be hands-on, visualising and delivering data requirements requested by your stakeholders; you will do the requirement gathering yourself as well as the querying of the data warehouse in order to create weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports. You will be working to Agile principles, taking part in regular Kanban meetings, reporting to the Lead Data Analyst and Head of BI. The team supports business units in a private bank that cater for high net worth individuals. These business units include property, finance, sales, marketing, lending and operations. Your work will be aligned to 2/3 of these business areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to enter banking without any financial experience. The environment is relaxed and creative. There are frequent activities and out of hours' events. Hours are 9-5 and staff retention is high. The culture is meritocratic and rewards talent.
