Exciting career opportunity for ambitious and self-motivated 2nd Line support analyst within a lively Retailer’s service desk. You will be head office based and, along with a friendly team, provide support for all users and applications within the group. This is a dynamic and broad technology role with the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the business requiring the successful candidate to be a motivated self-starter with a passion for IT and an understanding of retail business pressures and commercial requirements.

About The Role

Maintaining operational systems including responding to faults, maintenance and upgrades, and managing change within the environment. This work is typically measured through SLAs and KPIsMaintaining and utilising robust monitoring and reporting platformsAssessing the impact of technology change on the organisation including managing and implementing those changesKeeping abreast of current and new technologies by maintaining relationships with IT vendorsMaintaining internal customer relationships through meetings, training and visits.Problem-solving through technical analysis, business analysis and process improvement.Managing IT risks, including business continuity/disaster recovery planning and management.Negotiating complex agreements with colleagues and suppliers.Work with users to resolve outstanding service requests (faults and changes).Ensure that all service tickets are progressed within agreed service levels.Maintain & provide user education.Document, install, configure and test new/existing equipment/services in line with current procedures.Monitor user compliance with ICT and Security Policies & report cases of continued or repeated abuse to line manager.Complete any necessary administration & documentation of departmental procedures.Monitor and maintain delegated service delivery platforms.Assist with mentoring service technicians.Has a duty to inform ICT management of any serious breach of IT and Security Policies.Functional relationship with all ICT Teams, ICT End users and 3rd Party suppliers and service providers.Technologies

This role will provide the opportunity to really broaden your range of technologies over time but it is essential that you have solid experience of the following skills sets to start with:-

Windows Server 2012 onwards Windows 10

Citrix HP or Ubiquiti Networking

MS Office SQL, Exchange or VMware experience would be beneficial
