Audit Manager Job | Competitive salary + excellent benefits | Based in Edinburgh, Scotland

Your new company

Exciting opportunity to join a reputable retail bank based in Edinburgh, looking to add head count into their internal audit team focusing on delivering on balancing risk & controls and cost to identify business improvements, without compromising the balance between risk and controls. This role is based in Edinburgh and has minimal travel requirements in the UK.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Audit you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audits across the bank, managing the audit to completion within the timescales. The audits will be extremely varied across business strategy, product management, GDPR and controls and risks.

  • You will be responsible for planning, executing and reporting audits and follow up with management.
  • You will build relationships with key stakeholders across the business and supporting the wider Internal Audit team in delivering the strategic objectives and operational plan.
  • Delivering quality audits, with minimal supervision, in line with the audit methodology and budgets.
  • Promote the continuous improvement of risk management and control processes across the bank.


What you'll need to succeed

Ideally you will have at least years of audit experience within the Financial Services industry, whilst being commercially aware with a good understanding of the bank's business and strategy.

  • IIA, CIA, ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written with the ability to perform sound analysis.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage own workload.
  • Outstanding rapport building skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
