Description

The key responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Support CFO in the development of the company's Finance strategy
  • Design, build and test complex integrated financial models, typically, incorporating profit and loss, cash and balance sheet projections as well as KPIs
  • Ensure integrity of financial models and projections through implementation of suitable controls, documentation and testing
  • Interface with multiple stakeholders across different functions and seniority to identify underlying business drivers and inputs.
  • Analyse and evaluate complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes in written reports and presentations.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic projects and bids
  • Compilation of presentations and papers for decision making
  • Benchmark the company Finance against best in class Finance teams

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with post qualified experience, particularly in financial modelling, planning and forecasting
  • Advanced Excel and multi-year integrated modelling skills (including planning, designing and constructing financial models with financial statements)
  • A commercial mind-set with the ability to analyse the output of models beyond the reporting of financial data, providing in-depth business insight
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to create and manage effective relationships with colleagues, operational managers and directors quickly
  • Strong bias for action, including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and ability to meet deadlines, solve problems, and make effective evidence-based decisions
  • Self-motivated, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as being an effective team player
  • Maintain professionalism and high degree of attention to detail as well as ability to maintain a strategic view
