Hardware Team Leader - Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Cheadle, near Manchester

Primary Purpose of the Role:

  • You will provide functional Team Leadership to the Electro-Mechanical Team in Cheadle.
  • Effectively Managing the functional team.
  • Provide technical direction to the team ensuring that technical challenges/risks are being mitigated, provide support where required.
  • Plan and allocate resources to the IPTs / Projects in response to the Integrated Business Plan Demand.
  • Filter, prioritise and negotiate change in priorities.
  • Ensuring continuous, incremental process improvement of the functional team and their area of responsibility.
  • Develop and implementation of strategy for the development of the team and their area of responsibility
  • Lead the bid input for the team and their area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • You will plan the allocation of the team to match the business requirements, provide support and in-feed in to the Integrated Business Plan Supply Review.
  • Activities are required to be planned and completed in accordance with the varying programme requirements (Work package programme requirements, Bid timescales, Monthly reporting cycle, etc).
  • Logical planning skills are required and the ability to see the full picture to plan around difficulties.
  • You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of autonomy.
  • A logical approach to problem solving is required.
  • Negotiation with internal and external stakeholders is required.
