TM Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to work for an award winning law firm in Leeds City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to expand their experience in the Legal sector specifically within the Litigation Department.
The day to day duties for this role will include:
Handling written, email and telephone correspondence from customers, clients, court, third parties or other departments;
Recording and being responsible for maintaining an effective diary system used to keep a true record of any court directions;
Preparing papers for contested hearings;
Progressing contested matters;
Identify, raise and report any breaches in order to adhere to SRA and FCA principles
This role will be responsible for supporting and administering the caseload of contested litigation matters which sit within the Dispute Resolution function.
The successful candidate for this role will have a law degree or equivalent or studying towards or completed Level 3 CILEX; sound knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and court procedures, an understanding of the SRA and FCA principles and at least 1 year legal experience dealing with volume caseload.
Salary and Benefits:
£17,000 - 19,000
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
