We are looking for a talented Training specialist for our high profile client who is an accredited and fully authorised Debt Recovery Litigation law firm based in Manchester. This role is offered on a permanent basis and is suited to candidates from regulated environments such as Finance, Recoveries, Collections, Legal, Accounting or Insurance.Candidates must have a clear Credit and CRB record to be able to apply for this role and this does includeno former or current IVA's or CCJ's, convictions or fines.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure that head office teams have the skills, knowledge and expertise needed to discharge the responsibilities of their role. The role will combine high quality design and delivery of training with side by side performance coaching to maintain knowledge and competence.


The role of the Training Manager will be to support all induction and role based training activities ensuring that all employees leave training with a complete understanding of their role and the necessary skills and knowledge required to fulfil their role.
Ensure that employees' training needs are assessed at the outset of employment and at regular intervals (including if their role changes) thereafter.
The role is to review complete end to end people processes across the head office operation
Regularly review employee competence through the development of a competence framework and take appropriate steps to ensure employees remain competent for their role.
Provide appropriate training, coaching and support to employees to ensure that any relevant training and development needs are satisfied.
Conduct training needs analysis, liaising with the Team Leader and Managers and the General Manager to identify trends and focus areas for training.
Creation and delivery of all other training materials to satisfy client, regulatory and business needs.
The role will involve providing support to new starters, supporting Team Managers in measuring the competence of frontline staff.

In addition to the above, the Training Manager may be required to carry out any other reasonable requests or ad hoc business activities as required
The successful candidate will ideally have experience/ knowledge of consumer and commercial debt recovery processes and strategies, experience working with head office functions, understanding of learning and development systems. experience of working in an FCA regulated environment and experience of training and competence frameworks.

This role will be based in the Manchester head office however the successful candidate will be expected to also provide training within other nearby offices.
