We are looking for an adaptable, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join this hard-working team. As an End User Computing Support Engineer within the Support Services Directorate you will be providing expertise in the provision of second and third line support, advice, guidance and assistance to users of information and communication techniques.

You will be key to resolving and enabling the resolution of incidents, including major or critical incidents, problems, requests, events and access requests.

Having worked at least 3 - 4 years within an IT Operations environment, the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work within an ICT technical support role. The ability to support Microsoft products, in particular Windows 7 and 10 as well as Microsoft Office is key. You will also be able to demonstrate knowledge of networking within a large corporate environment. The aptitude to learn appropriate technical skills quickly is extremely important.

A working knowledge of Desktop hardware is also highly desirable as is an understanding of the principles of ITIL in a support services arena. A working knowledge of user and device management via Microsoft Active Directory is essential. A practical working knowledge of Mobile Device Management e.g. BES12 and the support of mobile devices such as Windows 10 laptops and tablets would be an advantage.

You must be able to show effective communication skills, preferably gained within a customer service environment, as well as a good standard of English. The ability to produce technical support documentation would be an advantage. In return, we offer you continued support along with self-development and training opportunities.
