A public sector client on the South Coast requires a Principal Enterprise IT Architect for a period of at least 3 months. THIS ROLE WILL BE INSIDE IR35.

The Principal Enterprise IT Architect is the person who identifies the IT solutions and methodologies that will align information technology with the specific business strategies of the authority. This unique position requires extensive knowledge of both business strategy and the IT enterprise.

You will:
- Be the principal IT Architect and provide the technical leadership and direction in relation to the organisations IT infrastructure, networks and systems
- Be responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of all IT architecture enterprise models, solutions and their lower components
- Produce, or act as primary contributor and implement the IT strategy and policy
- Ensure that the overall ICT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for security, resilience and quality
- Liaise with IT Business Partners and link the individual directorate strategies, requirements and processes to the organisational IT strategy
- Oversee the technical requirements of Projects/Programmes and provide leadership to ensure delivery of objectives
- Directly line manage the 4 senior architects
- You will provide expert professional advice
- You will provide the direction and guidance on technical architecture, strategies, policies, standards and practices
- You will quality assure all technical solutions

You need to demonstrate tangible evidence of your proven experience and success in the following areas:
- Proven track record of driving and leading large scale architectural enterprise projects throughout an entire business through to completion.
- Possess at least 5 years hands on experience, comprehensive understanding and working within Enterprise Architecture environments.
- Experience in reviewing and selecting Enterprise, Technical and Applications Architecture solutions
- Experience of supporting procurement of IT Architecture
- Experience of working within mobile, cloud and infrastructure environments
- Experience of all aspects software development life-cycle
- Robust knowledge within Security Architecture
- Knowledge of ITIL Quality Assurance processes
- In depth ITIL understanding and practical understanding
- In depth understanding of the architectural concepts of the Open Group Architecture Framework(TOGAF)
- Influencing positive outcomes by using your excellent negotiation and communication skills
