The Role A role has been made available with thin the Supportability Team at our office in Cheadle. The Logistic Support Engineer role will be working as a member of the Engineering Services (UK) Supportability Team. The Logistic Support Engineer will carry out traditional ILS activities and through life modelling in support of ship based equipment in-service and going into service.Key Responsibilities
In this role you will undertake Supportability Engineering Analysis including the following:

- Logistic Support Analysis (Familiarity with DEF STAN 00-60 Tasks)
- Production / Inputs to the Supportability Case Reports
- Influence Design for Supportability
- Write, maintain and deliver Logistic Support Analysis Plan / Programme
- Tailor and Management of Statement of Work for Equipment Suppliers
- Provide Inputs to the Integrated Support and Supply Support Plans
- Support Solutions Envelope, including Key Support Areas
- Understand LSA related requirements and production/ delivery of support artefacts.
- Undertake Supply Support tasks including codification.
- Ability to identify risks and issues and propose possible solutions
- Ability to work with the design engineers and provide Supportability Inputs.
- Attendance at Internal and External Design Reviews.
- Contribute towards the development of Support Solutions during the bids and proposals stage

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft® Office (Word, Visio, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Ability to work within a team environment with Good communication skills
- Competent in undertaking a range of tasks within the Integrated Logistic Support discipline at Sub-system, Line and Shop Replaceable Unit levels
- Knowledge and experience of UK MoD procurement and support policy would be advantageous
- Computer literate with practical use of Integrated Logistic Support software packages
- Degree in relevant Engineering subject, or equivalent Higher Qualification or combination of relevant practical and academic experience commensurate with the technical requirements of the role.

- Other specialist engineering disciplines including Safety and Human Factors Integration
