Graduate intern position available at a high achieving secondary located in Leicester starting ASAP.
This outstanding secondary school is looking for aspiring core subject teachers to work with them and offer academic and pastoral support to their bright students throughout the academic year.
The Graduate Intern posts are an exciting opportunity for candidates to build on their existing experience and develop a range of essential teaching skills before pursing teacher training routes. If you are looking to develop your leadership skills and implement change, this role will appeal to you. This school are looking for well qualified, aspirational graduates (2:1 or higher) who want to contribute to their highly successful school, and potentially stay on the following year as a trainee teacher.
The successful candidate, under the guidance of senior leadership, will lead interventions across KS3/4 in your degree subject (English/Maths/Science) and will be responsible for leading the delivery of some SMSC modules during tutorial time. Graduate Interns actively participate in the evaluation of the school against the Ofsted framework and therefore your organisational and interpersonal skills will need be at the highest standard.
At this school, Graduate Interns can also provide the highest levels of academic intervention; particularly in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities or a Modern foreign language (dependent on your subject strengths) to raise achievement of students in their GCSE and A level examinations by planning, monitoring, assessing individuals or classes, and by guiding students to become independent learners.
