The Role

Here at Hain Daniels we have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader to join the team at our Gateshead site. The successful Engineering Team Leader will manage a team of multi-skilled engineers to ensure KPIs are delivered. This role is largely hands on in which you will be responding to breakdowns, completing PPMs and ensuring all department procedures are followed to hit KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Engineers to minimise machinery downtime of equipment and processes
  • Manage and organise a team of Engineer to carry out PPM and Breakdowns.
  • Ensure delivery of team and personal KPI across the Engineering function
  • To carry our maintenance tasks assigned and complete these in a way that maximises machine performance and reliability
  • Develop a team of Engineers and build a strong team culture
  • To take part in or lead special projects or investigations as required by the Engineering / Factory Manager / Business

What you will need for the role / what it will take

The successful Engineering Team Leader will ideally be qualified to HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical engineering maintenance. You must be experienced within an engineering role within a food production environment. You need to be a strong, confident charter, communicator and leader with a willingness to be hands-on as part of the team but delegate and lead on shift.
