Salary up to Circa £40k
Location: North Leeds
Our client is a leading manufacturing firm based in the Leeds area who due to their current level of business are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to report into the Controls Engineer. Ideally you will be qualified to degree or HNC/HND level in a relevant engineering discipline and have prior knowledge of software design of Industrial Automation. You will need to have experience of Siemens and Rockwell programming, ideally with some knowledge of the integration of Vision systems and Servo Drives into industrial automation.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for providing product design solutions to a large portfolio of clients. Knowledge of working to compliant standards including 9001, 14001 and 18001 is essential and you will play a major role in the generation of software design documents. The role is predominantly office based but can involve a level of travel on a global basis but this is likely to be 2 weeks around twice a year.
Key requirements for the Software Engineer:
- Qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience of Siemens and Rockwell programming
- Experience of software design in an Industrial Automation environment
- Have integrated Vision systems and Servo Drives into industrial automation
- Ability to commission and willingness to spend 3-4 weeks travelling on a global basis

They are keen on training and development and a large number of their current staff have been for there 20 years+. The role is based in the North Leeds area and is very commutable from most areas of West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire and South Yorkshire. The role comes with a basic salary of up to £40k, with some potential flexibility on salary for candidates who tick all the boxes of the role.
