Financial Controller / Administrator
Salary: £DOE Location: Wishaw, North Lanarkshire The Company Daiwa Sports Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Globeride Inc., the World’s Number 1 manufacturer of fishing tackle has been operating since 1977. We have a production facility, warehouse and office based in Wishaw as well as an office and warehouse facility in Finland. The Role As Financial Controller / Administrator you will have responsibility for managing the finances for the company. This will be a senior position and you will be involved in the on-going strategic growth of the business. Working hours would be 35 hours per week with overseas travel occasionally required. Responsibilities • Working closely within a management team to ensure strong accounting systems and processes. • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations in a timely manner. • Preparation of annual budgets • Preparation of UK and Finnish VAT returns and bi-monthly Norwegian VAT return. • Preparation of quarterly consolidation for Head Office. • Produce annual Financial Accounts. • Preparation of ad hoc financial reports to corporate group. • Cash flow forecasting. • Purchase and Sales Ledger Management • Oversee all processes, such as invoicing, credit control, bank reconciliations, inter- company transactions etc. • Other Admin required tasks such as Payroll, Pension, Insurance, Private Medical Care and Government Statistics. • Ensure effective financial controls are in place and make any improvements required. • Liaise with banks, HMRC, governing bodies etc. and ensure compliance with regulations. • Build strong working relationship with the corporate Globeride group. • Company secretarial duties. Good organisation, time management and problem solving skills are all essential. Applicants must be in possession of an accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by relevant experience.
