Network Engineer (Technical Consultant - Networking)

Location: London (Moorgate), Marlow (Buckinghamshire), Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow.

Salary: Up to £60000

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise throughout the complete cycle of the professional services engagement for networking solutions; presales, design, implementation, handover.

You'll join our professional services team with existing Cisco networking skills at the core of your skill set, able to design, implement and configure complete Cisco network solutions and coupled with expertise in a range of other networking products.

Must have skills / qualifications:

  • Cisco
  • CCNP R&S or DC

Nice to haves:

  • Cisco Datacentre Networking [Nexus 9Ks/7Ks/5Ks/2Ks]
  • HP Networking
  • Cisco ACI skills
  • VMWARE NSX skills
  • Cisco Prime
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco Wireless
  • Aruba Wireless
  • Aruba ClearPass

You'll need to have a keen eye for detail and work well within a team. We also need you to be self-motivated with an on-going desire to maintain your knowledge level at the forefront of technology.

Although this role will be based from one of Softcat?s offices, it is expected that the majority of your time will be spent at customer sites.
