A large Chartered Accountancy firm, based in Glasgow, requires the services of a Qualified Accountant to take on an Accounts Manager position on a permanent basis. The Company This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing Accounting & Advisory team within a large global accounting firm. They have clients of all sizes, from start-ups to global players, and they have expertise that covers every sector. The Role This position has arisen due to the continued expansion of the client-base. This challenging position comes with a varied workload and a diverse portfolio of clients and an ability to multi-task will be essential. Within this team, you will have a client portfolio of SMEs with turnover of up to £10million. There will also be responsibility for staff management and supervision. Responsibilities Preparation of complex year-end limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts Review of year-end limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts Preparation and review of VAT returns (including partial exemption adjustments) Preparation of financial forecasts Lead other ad hoc advisory assignments Managing, training and developing staff including reviewing work Maintain relationships with client stakeholders On Offer This role comes with a competitive remuneration package as well as the opportunity for future career progression To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: A qualified accountant is preferred but QBEs with broad practical accounting experience will be considered Previous experience in Public Practice is essential Experience of managing and developing junior members of staff is essential Significant experience of: Preparation of year-end accounts Review of year-end accounts Preparation and review of VAT returns Preparation of financial forecasts Strong business acumen and capacity to influence and convince Strong interpersonal and client handling skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong numerical and IT skills
