Capenhurst, Cheshire
Up to £30,000 Plus Generous Pension Scheme, DIS, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, Private Medical Insurance

If you have core SQL skills and experience of data visualisation tools, this is a brilliant opportunity to advance your career with a leading business.

Our client is an established company that provides high quality products and services to power networks across the globe. They are now looking for a SQL Developer to join their Asset Investment Management (AIM) Team in Capenhurst.

In high-performing businesses, accurate information is paramount. Our client?s analytic models immediately provide customers with the asset investment information they need for their electricity networks.

Joining a highly-skilled team, you will have the chance to help drive the delivery of these solutions and enable customers to have vital information at their fingertips.

As a SQL Developer, you will develop, configure, release and support Asset Investment Management (AIM) models, based in a SQL environment.

In this important role, you?ll join the multi-disciplined Product Development and Delivery Team and utilise a variety of technologies. As the company continues their journey, they will look to upgrade their technical environment to utilise the cloud and big data.

Additionally, your duties will involve:

- Working directly with customers to implement our client?s applications
- Liaising with customers and other departments to understand customers? requirements
- Performing data interrogation to answer specific queries or extract specific subsets of data
- SQL Server development and support, including script writing, data fixes and database processes
- Driving continuous improvement across the AIM product offering
- Sharing best practice and knowledge with colleagues

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of data visualisation tools, such as Microsoft Power BI
- Previous experience of MS Excel
- Core SQL skills, including queries and updating data

Analytical and flexible, as a SQL Developer, you will have excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus. The ability to work to deadlines, problem-solve and effectively manage your own workload is also key.

Previous data analysis experience would be beneficial, as would experience of handling support tickets. The ability to create and review SQL code and stored procedures with MS SQL Server would also be an advantage.
