TEKLA Design Engineer
A well-established structural and architectural steelwork fabrication and installation organisation are currently looking to recruit a TEKLA Design Engineer to join their growing team.
As a TEKLA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing architectural metalwork and structural steel fabrication drawings using TEKLA software. You will be reading and interpreting engineer and architect drawings to deliver the information from structural steel specification into the fabrication drawings. You will be working closely with other departments in the business to review the specification, tender drawings, site surveys and connection calculations. You will have to raise RFI?s following the review meetings and the initial modelling stage for any design discrepancies, clashes or missing information to the responsible parties involved and maintain the RFI register.
The successful candidate for the TEKLA Design Engineer role will have excellent knowledge of steel design and steel connection details. Candidates are required to have working knowledge and experience of TEKLA and ideally Revit, however Revit experience is not essential. Candidates must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and have experience in liaising independently with engineers and architects to manage the flow of technical information on a project. Knowledge of current drawing practice and standards related to 3D model build, connections detailing and fabrication is essential. Knowledge of ISO 9001, CE marking BS EN 1090 and PAS 1192-2 is desirable.
Within the TEKLA Design Engineer role, you will be working within a very high paced and demanding environment and will be managing a number of projects at any given time by prioritising projects based on site dates and production needs.
The role is paying a salary of between £35,000 and £42,000. Final remuneration package will be based on experience and qualifications.
