One of our public sector clients requires a Senior Solutions Architect to join them for at least 3 months. THIS ROLE WILL FALL INSIDE OF IR35!

The Senior Solutions Architect (SSA) will lead a team of technical staff to maintain and support IT systems and deliver the necessary changes, to meet the needs of the organisation. The role is both a managerial and technical specialist role. The SSA will provide expert consultancy support to teams and act as a mentor for other Architect members and IT teams.

You will be required to:
- Ensure that staff resourcing is planned and resources made available to support day to day business and change activity
- Lead on proof of concept and new development activity
- Produce high level designs and estimates for complex architecture solutions for major projects in keeping with customer requirements and market needs
- Provide the architecture governance for ongoing product development roadmaps
- Ensure that the full capability of applications are known, communicated and exploited and that the organisation obtains the maximum return on its investment
- Define product requirements and create high level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality and integration with existing platforms
- Ensure that applications are adequately supported and liaise with the Category Manager so that suppliers respond effectively to issues.
- Provide the single point of responsibility for the technical solution from an application and technical basis
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to ICT colleagues, to project and system boards and to system users and owners

You need to demonstrate tangible evidence of your proven experience and success in the following areas:
- Staff management and development
- Technically competent with at least 5 years experience acting in a software or architect role
- Excellent knowledge of software design and architecture and able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge of the business that their systems provide solutions for
- In depth understanding of software quality assurance principles
- Identifying and solving complex problems
- Management of change
- Providing fit for purpose customer solutions to time quality and budget
- Managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Creative use of resources to deliver outcomes
- Influencing positive outcomes by using your excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Producing and executing credible and feasible plans and solutions
- Leading by example to inspire staff and colleagues
- Process Improvement
- Implementing and following best practice
