Test Analyst / Software Tester; Manual, Automation, Scripting


Are you a commercially experienced Test Analyst with solid software testing experience across both Manual and Automation? If so, I have a very interesting role with a growing company in Oxfordshire that may be of interest - both in terms of the working environment and the opportunity to get involved with some interesting Greenfield projects and new technologies.

Company Background:

This is a leading Data Analysis organisation who have an unique product, unrivaled on the market currently. The role has come around purely from growth as the company explore new areas of the market and offer additional services to their long term clients and new customers. This role is a great opportunity to be involved in a variety of testing procedures, on varied applications and using different technologies.

Role and Responsibilities:

-Innovate and develop existing scripting testing approach, in order to implement a singular approach to test software components across all products on Desktop and Web.
-Analyse requirements for all new development work
-Redefine required test procedures and undertake manual testing were automation is inappropriate
-Initiate a move further toward Automation processes
-There is also an opportunity to analyse customer data and reprocess
-Research and implement the latest technologies in testing to provide innovative solutions throughout the SDLC

Skills Required:

-Commercial testing experience of Web Applications
-Experience of scripting language e.g. groovy, python, PowerShell, Ruby, JavaScript etc.
-Test strategy experience for complex software
-Knowledge of test automation and manual testing
-Experience with bug tracking systems
-Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Salary for Test Analyst:

£30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
