Data Protection Officer GDPR PECR DPA

To be responsible for data protection across the group, ensuring systems and controls are in place to be compliant with GDPR regulations.

Description

Monitoring and enabling data protection compliance with relevant information rights and data privacy/protection law and internal data protection policies including:

  • To understand and regularly review the organisation's data processing operations and the accessibility of personal data;
  • To keep up to date with developments in information technology and data security;
  • To monitor compliance with the GDPR and other European Union or UK data protection laws;
  • To ensure that the organisation has an adequate and up to date policy framework which is aligned to the requirements set out in the law and best practice guidance;
  • To have due regard to the risk associated with processing operations while in the performance of his/her duties, taking into account the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing.
  • Provision of expert advice, guidance, and information to the organisation and those processing its data regarding their legal obligations as required.
  • Ensuring that people handling data in respect of which the organisation is data controller are provided with appropriate training and awareness-raising activities:

Profile

  • Extensive experience with adhering to, implementing and auditing to data protection strategy and policy
  • Designing and implementing employee training in relation to data protection
  • Knowledge of GDPR
