Fast-growing creative agency, providing the web development and digital marketing capabilities for their global clients are looking for a talented web developer

As part of the web development team, you?ll develop and maintain websites on behalf of the Company?s clients. This will involve new design and refactoring/enhancing of existing applications on the full stack from the back end server side to the front end client side.

You?ll monitor website performance, to react to system alerts or client notifications, and to debug and correct issues where necessary and work with the data analysis team to make required statistical reporting available via the hosted websites.

Other tasks will include:

  • Monitoring website usage, and working with the data analysts to identify weaknesses and increase website traffic
  • Constructing electronic direct mailings, including designing responsive html email templates that work in all email clients, to be used for data mailings in Mailchimp.
  • Responsibility for the technical design and development of new web-based solutions, from concept through to implementation.
  • Developing in line with coding standards and conventions and best practices.
  • Ensuring accessibility and usability for all users, and across all access media ? computer, tablet, mobile etc.
  • Providing cost and feasibility assessments for proposed new web projects
  • Participating as required in internal management meetings and with client presentations
  • Researching software for potential use in analysis and reporting
  • Keeping up to date on developments in relevant software packages
  • Contributing to the formulation of and compliance with company information security policies and procedures
  • Responding to information requests from clients or potential clients regarding IT due diligence or audits, and to ensure that all hosted applications are compliant with required standards and industry best practice.
  • Assisting colleagues and undertaking any additional duties reasonably requested.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work well with team members or on your own.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Development methodologies
    • o Understanding of SOLID principles and OO programming.
    • o Understanding of design patterns.
    • o Understanding of multi-tier application design
    • o Unit testing
    • o Experience of selenium testing advantageous.
  • Back end web technologies
    • o net Core 2
    • o net with C# and MVC
  • Front end web technologies
    • o HTML 5 and responsive bootstrap framework.
    • o Experience of using node modules and package management advantageous (grunt, gulp, bower, npm, nuget).
    • o CSS and Sass / Less
    • o Javascript and frameworks like Angular 2, JQuery etc.
    • o Experience with designing email HTML to be responsive and work in all email clients.
    • o Understanding of UX.
  • Infrastructure
    • o GIT version control.
    • o Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment would be advantageous.
  • Database
    • o SQL Server.
    • o SQL Queries, stored procedures, normalisation, understanding performance in terms of indexes, joins, views etc.
    • o Experience with using SSRS is advantageous but not essential.
  • CMS
    • o Experience in using Umbraco is advantageous.
