Senior PHP Developer

Senior PHP Developer with extensive PHP, Laravel, Symfony, MySQL, RESTful API, TDD, 3rd party technologies (Amazon S3, Stripe, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ) and ideally hands on AWS required to work with a cutting-edge, complex tech stack in a team within a small yet dynamic company that has some exciting and challenging projects in the pipeline.

This is a chance to have a voice and be extremely instrumental in the direction and progress of a company rather than a mere cog in a machine. If you are a great communicator and want to get stuck in to some stimulating remits that will fully utilise your back end proficiency yet also require you to have a handle on full stack developments then please apply.

  • Solid experience with MySQL, able to confidently scale services with gigabytes of SQL data.
  • Experience building (and then maintaining) REST API's in an Agile environments.
  • Experience writing unit tests (test driven development)
  • Experience with 3rd party technologies and services like Amazon S3, Stripe, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ etc. (experience with message queues would be beneficial but not required)
  • Hands on experience with AWS would be hugely advantageous
  • Interest in whole tech stack, able to contribute at all levels.

Key responsibilities for a Senior PHP Developer

  • Building the backend services and APIs which power the platform that supports both web and mobile applications
  • Refactoring, optimizing and improving the existing codebase for maintenance and scale
  • Use test driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality
