Primary Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant required for Reception class supporting pupil on the Autism Spectrum.
Your new company
You will be working for a North Liverpool Primary School. This primary school has great ties in the local community and are looking for an early years teaching assistant to join their team.
Your new role
You will be based in the reception class of this primary school where you will be providing one to one support for a pupil on the autism spectrum. This pupil more specifically has Pathological Demand Avoidance. You role will be to support this child with their development, both socially and academically. You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to provide behaviour plans and a learning journey for the pupil. This position is a long term role with the potential of going permanent.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role as an early years teaching assistant you must have relevant recent experience within a classroom or nursery setting. Experience of working with PDA is desired but not essential. Experience working with Autism is essential. We must be able to gain references from the last 2 years. A level 3 qualification in childcare or supporting teaching and learning is also desired.
